Fresh from their raging success opening for Air Supply at the historic St. George Theater, Sean Harkness, Lina Koutrakos & Marcus Simeone return to Don’t Tell Mama for four shows only. It will be their last New York club appearance of the year.
Together, they are three of the most award-winning artists’ on the club scene today. Last year’s sold-out run of their MAC nominated show “BLUE” won rave reviews for Marcus and Sean with Lina as a special guest. This year, Lina joins the show full circle for an evening of show-stopping music by legendary songwriters’. Collectively, Lina, Marcus and Sean have been honored by MAC with numerous nominations and wins. All three are Bistro Award winners as well as other awards for their work in cabaret. This new, eagerly awaited, show will feature songs from the likes of Otis Redding, Natalie Cole, Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, Toto and Lennon and McCartney to name a few. They will trade-off on vocals, solos and 3-part harmonies (and promise at least 3 encores.) This is an emotional, funny and powerful show as a follow-up to last year’s riveting “BLUE” which caused many audience members to return more than once.
*Sean Harkness is one of today’s most respected and in-demand guitarists on the local cabaret scene as well as performing in Asia. He is also a Wyndom Hill recording artist performing on an impressive canon of recordings and concerts as well as working with some of the most prestigious musical artists’ in the business.
*Lina Koutrakos is an esteemed, multi-award winning member of the cabaret community who has sold out rooms like Mercury Lounge, Iridium, B.B. King’s, Eighty Eight’s, The Bottom Line, etc. She performs across the country as well as Paris and has shared the stage with Maureen McGovern, Faith Prince, Kevin Bacon and Phoebe Snow among others. She is also an award winning director.
*Marcus Simeone is a revered singer with a multi-octave range who sings in many genres ranging from cabaret, pop/R & B to jazz and standards. He has performed at many popular clubs in New York as well as Jazz At Lincoln Center, Town Hall and Carnegie Hall. His unique voice has been compared to greats ranging from Steve Perry, Johnny Mathis, Little Jimmy Scott – and Barbra Streisand. In December, for the 10th year in a row, he will co-star in the “Christmas Extravaganza” at the iconic St. George Theater on Staten Island. In the spring, he stars in a major new Peter Allen Revue (TBA).
There is a $20 music charge and a two-drink minimum per person (cash only)
